‘Cell Phones for Soldiers’ at Yarmouth Police
Yarmouth Police PatchSupport ‘Cell Phones for Soldiers’ at YPD

The Yarmouth Police Department continues to support Cell Phones for Soldiers and serves as an active drop off collection point for all unwanted cell phones and chargers.

Remember the phones do not have to work! The cell phones, batteries, and chargers are all sold to a company that recycles them. The money that is raised for the phones is then used to purchase calling cards that we send to our soldiers serving.

The phones are sent to ReCellular, which pays Cell Phones for Soldiers for each donated phone – enough to provide an hour of talk time to soldiers abroad.

Citizens are urged to help Support our Troops and bring any unwanted cell phones or chargers to Yarmouth Police Headquarters and drop them off in our front lobby at anytime 24/7.

  • The average person upgrades their phone every 16 months
  • An estimated 130 million phones will be retired this year in the United States
  • Approximately 202,000 ounces of gold could be recovered if these phone had been recycled

Rockin' Your Weekend with Ron and Suzanne on Dunes 102

Ron & Suzanne Photo Two radio legends, 'Rockin' Ron Robin and 'Rock Babe' Suzanne Tonaire, returned to the airwaves!

On February 5th, 2011 at 8am to 11am, Ron and Suzanne hosted the first of many weekly morning shows on Dunes 102.  The show features plenty of great music, signature mayhem, frivolity and much more!

Ron has spent most of his life entertaining people.  As a music and talk jock for all of Boston's major radio stations, he introduced Boston to its first full time disco radio station, WBOS and he was the first with a locally produced television dance music show, "Stagedoor Disco."  After moving to WBZ to to talk radio, he was able to pull some of the highest ratings in his timeslot.  Other television credits include "Evening Magazine" on CBS TV4, "Good Morning" on WCVB TV5 and various commercials and guest shots.

Suzanne has been a radio broadcaster on Cape Cod for over two decades.  She worked as Program Director of WPXC "Pixy 103" and helped launch the station from its infancy in 1987.  Through the years, Suzanne has also pulled some of the highest ratings on Cape Cod in her midday time slot!  She also created the Cape's first local music show "Homegrown" in January 1987.  Now she showcases New England's Independent Artists on her new TV show, "Behind The Band" and has recently  launched a new promotions company, "Aftermark Promotions".
